In the midst of the 2020 Pandemic, a core group of residents banded together as a people helping people mutual aid group, and engaged in the first-ever community master planning process. Through both endeavors, we gained strength and numbers, and became aware of the opportunities and challenges we had before us.
Although nestled on a quiet wooded ridgeline between Ohio City and Tremont on Cleveland’s near west side, we now find ourselves on the front lines of great change, where self-determination meets a wave of gentrification at our doorstep. Partnered with Cleveland’s resources and best forward-thinking leaders and institutions, we have set a path with our initiatives where we all can all benefit from the rising tide of progress. We look forward to building a stronger, healthier, happier, and more resilient future together.
With the help of the Cleveland Metroparks and the Trust for Public Land, planning is underway to create an alternative, more scenic route to the greenway.
